Author, compiler of this Paschal - Paschall genealogy, 1972 - 2018
I first(1972) only did genealogy locally on my own paper and notebooks. Gradually I expanded it with snail-mail contacts to my sister and cousins in Henry Co, TN. This paralleled with my idea of organizing a group of like minded persons to get census data on the Paschal line. I would obtain the indexes to published censuses; copy them and send them the group;each person could then get the census of their choice, get the Paschal data therein and send the info to me. I then compiled the info, ID'ing the Paschal into a list called the Paschal - Paschall Directory. Early on, I resolved to make no distintion beteen one and two l's so as to get ALL in one list.I would then print the list and send it to the members in the group. Surprisinly this actually worked great. The list got big, too big, so I had to have it photo copied and the persons pay for their copy. I had them copy and distribute copies to their local libraries. Most of these have disappeared. The Mesa, AZ, LDS library had their copy book bound. Of course these were only what I had at the time and errors and new names were not corrected. In time as the internet came into existence and this method became the standard for genealogy. I developed my own S/W for genealogy but soon found the free PAF of LDS and adopted it...but this is history. By 2006 I had thousands of names and a PC at home. I always believed that genealogy should be free and peeople should exchange info/documents between themselves. I found the site offering freepages and got on the internet. After 5 years we moved to Arizona City and I got a counter to register visitors to my site, In, Dec 2018, freespages was closed and my counter had over 22,000 visits. Yesterday, I was 88 years old with many med problems and so decided to give up genie; I have found a woman very much devoted to correct source documented genie and she has accepted my offer to take over my work. She has my profound thanks and hope for a successful endeavor.....
